There are several cremation services in the country and we use one based in Scotland, but which is developing a site in Yorkshire. They can cremate pets individually and return certified ashes if owners wish. Some people need to have their pet's ashes to scatter, or to keep. There is a choice of 3 containers. There is an extra charge for return of ashes. I would always advise that owners decide in advance what they will do with the ashes, and do it immediately when they get them back. Otherwise there is another parting to go through.

There is now a woodland site which accepts pet burials in Yorkshire. The Tarn Moor memorial woodland is just north of Skipton.
